While the genocide targeted at Southern Kaduna Christians does not deserve the attention of the presidency according to Femi Adesina, the Nigerian Army is set to deploy 800 troops to Darfur region in Sudan, as gathered by Arise News247.
The troops to be deployed in two (2) weeks time comprise 45 officers and 755 combat-ready military men to compliment United Nations peace-keeping mission in the Darfur.
According to the news reaching Arise News247, the military men had completed four (4) weeks extensive and comprehensive pre-deployment training in accordance with UN recommendation and the aspiration of Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS). The training according to Buratai will enable them cope with situation in the Dafur region.
Buratai who was represented at the graduation ceremony at the Nigerian Army Peace Keeping Centre (NAPKC), Jaji on Tuesday 3rd January 2017 by General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division Mechanized Army, Major-General Adeniyi Oyebade, said, the training is part of the confirmation of the commitment of the Nigerian Government to deploy quality peacekeepers as part of the country’s laudable contributions for global peace and security.
Encouraging the officers he said, “I expect all the officers to exercise firm command and control. You must ensure to look after the welfare of your men including their feeding and medical needs. You have no reason not to succeed because Nigerian State has provided you with all that you needed to do the country and your family proud.”
It is worthy of note that this is the same country that Femi Adesina, The Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, said that Buhari would not talk about the persistent killing of Christians in Southern Kaduna because the APC governor (El-Rufai) who gave the invading Fulani Herdsmen huge amount of money “is on top of the matter.”
Also in all situations where Fulani Herdsmen have killing Christians or almost eradicate entire community the president always maintains absolute silence, but quick to condemn any killing in other countries. And since the Fulani Herdsmen that president Buhari is their grand-patron have been killing not even one of them have been arrested.
Is this not confirming that this administration is indirectly backing the killing and persecution of Christians?
