The sad news reaching the Newsroom of Arise News247 has it that Former Governor of Niger State, Engr Abdulkadir Kure, dies in a German hospital from an undisclosed illness.
Before his death he was a respected member of PDP and he was the Niger State Coordinator for G2G2015 during the build up for 2015 general elections.
A two term governor of Niger State from 29th May 1999 to 29th May 2007, during the period he introduced Sharia law in Niger State in May 2000.
A family source confirming the sad news to Arise News247 Niger State correspondent said he was “flown to Germany last week for medical attention and he passed on in German hospital.”
His wife, Senator Zainab Abdulkadir Kure, has been a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria since 2007. They have six children, two daughters and four boys.
His political associates are now arriving his family home to condole the family he left behind.
