
Arise News247 gathered that the newly elected president of The Gambia will be sworn in today 19th January, 2017 at about 16:00 GMT (4pm in The Gambia time) as the president of The Gambia at The Gambian Embassy in Dakar Senegal.
In a message obtained by Arise News247 posted by the president elect, Adama Barrow, on his social media account; he boldly declared that he would be sworn in as “The President of The Republic of The Gambia” in Dakar, Senegal; inviting “The General Public,” to attend.

Despite the deadline issued to the out-going president, yahya Jammeh, and the military threat spearheaded by President Buhari of Nigeria; yahyah Jammeh still remains resolute.
Arise News247 also obtained that heavy security presence is noticed around The Gambia with Senegalese troops stationed at The Gambian border.
Also so many Gambians have fled to Senegal in apprehension of a possible military action.
