Arise News247 and other media released the news of Trump’s expected call to Buhari slated for 3:45pm late afternoon 13th February, 2017. And considering the rumour surrounding Buhari’s health one would have expected a recording of the phone call for release to confirm Buhari’s health status.
But till close to 6 hours after the expected time for the call, it is surprising that the only source that said the call actually took place was Femi Adesina, the presidential media aide to Buhari; whom Nigerians regarded as a pathological liar just like Lai Mohammed. Every other platform that posted or broadcast that the call took place cited Femi Adesina as their only source.
On a thorough investigation Arise News247 discovered that BBC, CNN, AIT, Channels etc that posted it on a third party reported speech ONLY cited Femi Adesina as their (ONLY) source. That means no media house anywhere all over the world claimed to have firsthand information of the so called telephone conversation.
Arise News247 further discovered nothing about the call is stated on Donald J. Trump’s social media account: His twitter handle @realDonaldTrump, facebook page @DonaldTrump, official website www.DonaldJTrump.com and that of the White House www.WhiteHouse.gov and the White House Facebook page @WhiteHouse.
Rather both Donald J. Trump and the White House are busy celebrating the “Wonderful meeting with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and a group of leading CEO’s & business women from Canada and the United States.”
In the light of the above, Arise News247 in our quest to always release verified news hereby declare that the “purported” call between Donald Trump and Buhari could not be confirmed till 6 hours after the called supposed to have been made.
However, if we eventually confirm the call to be true or otherwise, we shall report accordingly.
