The confirmed news reaching the Newsroom of Arise News247 has it that the kidnappers that abducted Mr John Gorah, a director with the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have established contact with the family of the victim demanding for N40 million  as ransom.

Mr Gorah was abducted at his residence in Mararaban Rido, Kaduna midnight on Sunday 1st September, 2017.

Confirming the report, Mr. Steven Haruna, the Deputy Director, Higher Education in the ministry, said the kidnappers invaded the victim’s compound and shot sporadically into the air to scare people away, then abducted Mr. Gorah and a nursing mother, leaving her 3 months old toddler behind and they broke the fence to escape.

So far “the kidnappers have called the family and demanded for N40 million ransom,” Mr Haruna concluded.
