Arise News247 has authoritatively confirmed that Dr, Alex Ekwueme is alive. The former Vice President of Nigeria wast hospitalized at Menfy’s Neuro-Surgical Hospital, Enugu, but as at the time of filing this report he is responding to treatment according to the assertion of his doctor.
Though the federal government of Nigeria is working towards flying him abroad and take the cost of his medical treatment in line with his constitutional right; but Arise News247 obtained that he needed to be stabilized in Nigeria before he can be flown abroad.
However, the rumor of his death was spreading all over social media but, when Arise News247 was able to link up with the hospital where he is receiving treatment through phone, based on reliable information from the family source, the doctor asserted that “the rumour that he is dead is false.”
Also that, “he is recovering and doing well. People should not spread false information. The family members are always here with us,” the doctor insisted.
