INEC CLEARED 50 CANDIDATES TO CONTEST KOGI ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cleared fifty (50) candidates and their deputies to contest the November 16 gubernatorial poll in Kogi State.

Five (5) of the cleared candidates are female while seven (7) women were also cleared as deputies, Arise News247 reports.

The names of the candidates, their deputies and the sponsored political parties were made available to the public by INEC this afternoon, Friday September 13, 2019 in Lokoja, Kogi State.

Those cleared to contest the election include the incumbent governor,
(1) Alhaji Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress (APC),
(2) Mr Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
(3) Mrs Justina Abanida of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
(4) Miss Natasha Akpoti of SDP
(5) Mr Ibrahim Itodo of ZLP
(6) Mr Idris Abegunde of NNPP
(7) Mr Abu Omogani of the UPC
(8) Abdulahi Mohammed of Accord Party
