The immediate past president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) has confirmed that he has been under intense pressure from high profile Nigerians to contest again as president in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.
Arise News247 gathered that Goodluck Jonathan made the assertion in his home town, Otuoke, when  some of his kinsmen paid him a visit as part of their end of the year activities. According Arise News247 source, the immediate past president also quickly added that despite the pressure from different quarters as well as from his friends on social media, he has no intention to contest for now, and affirmed that he will not cave in to the pressure as he believes he has given his best for Nigeria while in office as president and that he believes that others after him would continue from where he stopped.
In conclusion, Chief Preiye Tari who led the team appreciated Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and insisted he has set a legacy worldwide, which will outlive him and stick to the heart of well meaning, Nigerians and African at large from generation to generation.

  1. lt’s a way to bring back and bridge Nigeria with Niger delta/Brafras agitations to a halt.that’s the reason they wants GEJ to re-contest in 2019 elections. but the agitators minds are made up already.

  2. Don’t be deceived, and don’t make the mistake to recontest in 2019, you will not only waste your money, you will also be humiliated, like Obj’s third term attempt that turned into a flop.
