Another Nigerian sets to break world record as he posted both on his Twitter handle @RevMagba and his verified Facebook account Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba @Rev.Magba displaying the evidence that Guinness World Record (GWR) has given him approval for 115hrs Longest Speech Marathon starting at 8:00 hours GMT (9am Nigeria time) March 27, 2024 at Top View Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.
According to the clergyman, “the purpose for attempting this Guinness World Record is to encourage godly character by pointing people back to God and the demand for imbibing good moral values towards creating positive change in the society.
“Therefore the speech will be Bible based as I will take references from the book of Genesis through to the book of Revelation of the Bible presenting the speech on godly character, imbibing good moral values and breaking bad habits inimical to the good of the society. As the level of moral decadence in the society is becoming alarming, there is need for serious intervention towards making the society a better place.”
It’s of note that this attempt if successful, will dethrone Ananta Ram KC from Kathmandu, Nepal who is the present record holder of the longest speech marathon with 90 hours and 2 minutes, achieved by him in Kathmandu, Nepal from 27 to 31 August 2018.
The attempt started at 6:15 am on 27th August and finished at 12:17 am on 31st August 2018.
