The news reaching Arise News247 has it that five suspended lawmakers aided by thugs and men of the Nigeria Police Force fully armed, have invaded the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly complex with the mace and about to commence the impeachment of 22 other lawmakers including the Speaker, then the governor.
One of those that spoke over the issue anonymously, alleged that Senator Godswill Akpabio is believed to be the master-minder.
Another eyewitness, Alice, that spoke added that Hon Nse Ntuen led them to the complex.
According to Alice, “Armed thugs led by Hon Nse Ntuen came in and asked all of us staff to leave the assembly premises, they are inside there now, the police saw them, my name is Alice Asuquo I’m a staff here”
Assembly staff, express anger over being harassed and shut out by the police, who invaded the complex to aide illegal entry by the recently sacked lawmakers.
Arise News247 reports that the thugs that accompanied the five lawmakers later started setting people’s cars ablaze in Uyo Akwa Ibom State; following the arrival of the governor, Udom Emmanuel, that truncated the attempt by the five lawmakers to sit illegally.
