* Chairman accused El-Rufai of having sinister motives that warranted his false allegations and calling Gbagyi Villa residents unprintable names.
* Chairman challenged El-Rufai to present to the public the C-of-O of his father’s house if he has any.
* 6 People died from the shock between last year and early this year. 3 women now hospitalized over the shock of El-Rufai’s renewed threat.

Mrs Rebecca who spoke with Arise News correspondent lamented that El-Rufai promised on 17th November, 2014 (while declaring his intentions to contests) not to demolish in Kaduna. That he also said he had gone round and consulted that what Kaduna needs is peace, development, a united state and job creation due to the poverty in Kaduna. The woman also added that El-Rufai also repeated the same statement in the presence of Buhari when Buhari came to Kaduna while campaigning. She alleged that religion has “suddenly blindfolded him as his main demolition target is Christian communities.” When asked about a few houses demolished in Muslim areas she quickly responded that those were “very few houses, not an entire community like Gbagyi Villa and he compensated them. He can’t deceive us, he only used that as a cover up for his religious persecution.” She insisted. “El-Rufai should stop castigating us. Let him leave us alone.” She concluded.

Another woman Mrs. Linda also added that they are pleading with El-Rufai to leave Gbagyi Villa residents alone. She busted out, “We are not criminals but peace loving Christians living happily with all our neighboring communities.” She continued, “We have our building permits, those who may not have must have paid for it.”

On C-of-O she asked, “How many houses have C-of-O in Kaduna? Even on that, is the penalty for not having C-of-O demolition?” The women roared, “No.” She continued that if all houses without C-of-O must be demolished then El-Rufai will demolish more than 65% of all the houses in Kaduna, if not more. She pleaded with El-Rufai not to take the law into his hand and push the peace loving youths to the wall where they may have no option left but to result to self-help.

As a reminder, early this week Kaduna South youths warned that if El-Rufai takes the law into his hand and demolish any house in Gbagyi Villa that there will be bloodshed.
GBAGYI VILLA PROPERTY OWNERS PRESS BRIEFING:
In a similar development, Gbagyi Villa Property Owners Association had a press briefing to clear the air on what they regarded as El-Rufai’s media propaganda and his attempt to condemn Gbagyi Villa residents so as to achieve his ambition of demolishing the entire 100% Christian community despite the subsisting injunction and the ongoing court processes.

The chairman in his address asserted the following points:
- Gbagyi Villa was deforested and inhabited by Gbagyi forefathers, whom their graves are still there.
- Part of the community land was forcefully taken over by government about 40 years ago without any form of compensation and used for a satellite campus of Kaduna Polytechnic (A Federal Institution, which is beyond the jurisdiction of El-Rufai, if there is NO hidden agenda).
- Leaving the vast land for the Polytechnic, Gbagyi people demanded for the remaining part of the land, which resulted in boarder dispute that initiated a court case between 2009 and 2011.
(Picture below shows the fence erected by The Management of the Kaduna Polytechnic indicating the boundary between Gbagyi Villa community and the Polytechnic after late Governor Yakowa settled them out of court. The picture reveals a large span of undeveloped land still belonging to the Polytechnic. Yet El-Rufai still claim that the community that has been marked off with fence must be demolished)

- The late Governor Patrick Yakowa intervened and the dispute was amicably resolved out of court. Hence, the government issued a white paper establishing the boundary of the Polytechnic. And a sketch plan was issued by the government (copy attached) signed by the Surveyor-General of Kaduna State. Then the new development kicked off and we have been enjoying our peace with the Polytechnic until El-Rufai became governor.
(Picture below shows the approved layout signed by the Surveyor General of Kaduna State, showing the portion of land belonging to the Polytechnic and the part called Gbagyi Villa today. Empty space above is the Polytechnic undeveloped span of land. The layout below is Gbagyi Villa community, well structured. Two distinctive lands only sharing boundary)

- In November, 2015 El-Rufai through KASUPA marked all houses in Gbagyi Villa for demolition and has since refused to give us audience. Then on 4th March 2016 El-Rufai through the same KASUPDA pasted demolition notices on all the over 3,500 houses, over 40 churches, 2 orphanages, clinics, schools etc hinging his demolition threat on lack of building permit.

- As he refused to give us audience but retorted to threatening and calling us unprintable names through the media, we staged a protest and took him to court.
(First Protest)

Then we obtained an interlocutory injunction restraining him from demolishing our buildings pending the determination of the case on notice.
(Copy of the subsisting court interlocutory injunction issued and served on the state government and all her concerned agencies by a court of competent jurisdiction.)

- On Thursday 21st July 2016; El-Rufai stormed Gbagyi Villa amidst heavy security in company of the top management of the Polytechnic and KASUPDA, still refusing to grant us audience. Exhibiting utter hatred for the residents of Gbagyi Villa he again called us “CRIMINALS and THIEVES”. And vowed that our buildings must come down irrespective of the injunction and court processes.

- He said those who don’t have both building permit and C-of-O will get their houses demolished. But I assert that we have tendered our building permits or evidences of paying for building permit. Yet we are still been terrorized.
(Below is a copy of building permit issued by the same KASUPA that the governor is using against Gbagyi Villa; calling the people of the community “CRIMINALS” “THIEVES” “ENCROACHES” etc. If the land is illegal how did KASUPDA issue building permit to those called “criminals” in the so-called illegal land?)

(Here is a copy of bank draft used to pay for building permit, directly into the bank account of the state government).

(A receipt of payment for Building permit to KASUPDA: The name is covered for security reasons).

(Then a letter confirming that the land has been permitted to be used after purchase).

On C-of-O I put it to the governor that even his father’s house doesn’t have C-of-O EXCEPT IF he recently issued it. If otherwise he should tender it to the public as we published our own building permits.
PERTINENT QUESTIONS:
The chairman rounded off with the following questions begging for answer:
- Do we have right to approach the court for justice?
- Why can’t the governor wait for the final determination by the court?
- Is the governor now both the judiciary and the executive to declare us CRIMINALS then judge us, condemn us and execute his punishment of demolition on us?
- Is the governor (El-Rufai) above the law?
- If the governor don’t have sinister motives why has El-Rufai “not sworn demolition over the encroachment right at the back of the students affairs block of the Polytechnic main campus, Tudun Wada… and the polytechnic farm at Narayi Village?
- If the governor who “swore on oath to uphold the law” (like he said) retorts to the use of force, military and weapons (gotten from tax payers money and that is supposed to be for our protection) to demolish our houses despite court injunction; “is the governor not setting a precedence for anarchy?”
He concluded by appealing to all peace loving people to prevail on the governor to “be fair to everyone.”
(The building below belong to a major in Nigerian Army who died fighting Boko Haram in Borno State. This is the only structure left for his widow. You can see now that due to the constant harassment, the house house been place for sale.)

(The next building is one of the orphanage homes built by kindhearted Nigerians to care for orphans.)

(This building belongs to two secondary school boys who have lost both parents. This is their only hope for shelter.)

(The women below are widows with their mother. Their husbands were Nigerian soldiers. The man died first, later the son in-law and the old woman managed to raise this structure as shelter for them despite that it is still uncompleted. They said they were almost killed in one of the religious crises in Kaduna and that was why they had to move to 100% Christian area for their safety.)

(A building belonging to Christian Association of Nigeria [CAN]. El-Rufai said all the over 40 churches in Gbagyi Villa are illegal, we are still expecting the response from CAN)

(A school build by an old man who is already on pension. Who knows if part of the funds used for the building was loan?)

(Other buildings owned by retired men, who used their last strength to raise shelter for themselves and their families; where they can rest their heads now in their old age. Yet El-Rufai is plotting to render them homeless in their old age)

Other children and women including Arise News correspondents started shedding uncontrollable tears like Frank Olize.
Most of the children started rolling on the bare ground weeping. Some were saying “El-Rufai leave our parents alone” El-Rufai our parents are NOT criminals just because they are Christians” and other emotional statements that will make even the most wicked man on earth to have a rethink.

BELOW IS OUR FIRST REPORT ON THE WOMEN PROTEST
MASSIVE PROTEST BY WOMEN AND CHILDREN WEARING BLACK CLOTHES COMPLETE, IN KADUNA OVER GBAGYI VILLA AS EL-RUFAI IS HELLBENT ON DEMOLISHING THE 100% CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY ATTEMPTING TO SET KADUNA ON FIRE OF RELIGIOUS CRISES AGAIN, DUE TO HIS HATRED FOR CHRISTIANITY
About three (3) widows have been hospitalized in Gbagyi Villa now at critical conditions in the hospital this week, as a result of El-Rufai’s persecution and harassments of the 100% Christian community. And about 6 people died between late last year and early this year over the same threat.
El-Rufai out of his hatred for Christianity is hellbent on demolishing the entire community of Gbagyi Villa (the only 100% Christian community in Kaduna) a community of about 3,500 houses, over 40 churches etc.
When El-Rufai marked the entire community for demolition in 2015 November about 6 people died from the shock.
Then the community people took El-Rufai to court and secured an interlocutory injunction restraining El-Rufai or any of his agencies from carrying out any form of demolition pending the determination of the case on notice. Despite the court injunction El-Rufai paid an unscheduled visit to Gbagyi Villa on Thursday 21st July 2016 and vowed to demolish the community calling the entire community “criminals” and all the 40 churches “illegal churches”. He however refused to address the community but only spoke with journalists.
As a result of his renewed threat, three (3) widows have been hospitalized again.
Hence, the widows and children have come out massively in black clothes protesting what they regarded as inciting their youths to result to self help as the governor has vowed with impunity not to obey court order.
