The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ekiti State chapter has accused Pastor Adeboye the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) of receiving bribe from Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti that made him (Pastor Adeboye) to commend Fayose, for his “courage and willingness to defend his people and the cause of the common man in the country”; rather than supporting APC, since the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was a senior pastor in the RCCG.
This was contained in the statement released by Jide Awe, APC Ekiti State Chairman, on Sunday 25th December 2016. The party said it is surprising that a ‘once’ respected cleric like Pastor Adeboye could sing the praises of Governor Fayose for his persistent insults on President Muhammadu Buhari, when a highly placed member of his church is the Vice President.
The APC chieftain also added that Pastor Adeboye must have been speaking for himself and not the entire members of the RCCG.
The release issued in Ado Ekiti on Sunday and signed by Mr Jide Awe, alleged that Governor Fayose could have bribed Pastor Adeboye with huge amount of money to get such endorsement from him. Stressing further that Governor Fayose is a man that can bribe even an angel of God to endorse his devil.
Mr. Awe concluded by warning Pastor Adeboye not to continue in what will instigate Ekiti people to rise against him. Calling on RCCG members, especially families of the founder, Late Prophet Josiah Akindayomi, to caution Pastor Adeboye before he destroys the church.
The question coming to mind is, “did the same APC bribe Pastor Adeboye when his body language supported the party before the 2015 general elections, which led to many Christians supporting APC, especially in the South West?
APC is bias.
lnitially Adeboye thought APC has a good agenda to better the life’s and lots in Nigeria, he may support FAYOSE nothing is forth coming from APC government in respect to the sufferings of Nigerians.
APC after failure to delivered on your campaign promises then any Nigerian that make any comment could either be bribes by the PDP or corrupt person, so stop the blaming game and fix the economy or else vacate the seat and let the people with an idea take over period

People should be mindful of the kind of utterances they make against men of God, especially in the calibre of Pastor Adeboye, so that they dont incur the wrath of God.
