Arise News247 has authoritatively gathered that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State used some of his agents to deceive people from Senator Dino Melaye’s constituency to collect their voter’s cards under the guise of allocating fertilizers to them and fraudulently used the voter’s cards for his plot to recall Senator Dino Melaye.
This came to light after the news broke out that INEC has received and acknowledged the request for the recall of Senator Dino Melaye. In reaction to that Dino said that so many people will go to jail over the issue of an attempt to recall him.
Hence, some people from his constituency cried out that they were deceived to release their voter’s cards and that they didn’t know that they wanted to fraudulently use it to recall Dino. They were then advised to go to court and take “an affidavit in support of the deceit to collect and use their voter’s cards for fraudulent purposes.
One of the the people who swore the affidavit was Sanya Grace Afolake from Odo-Ere in Yagba West, Kogi State. In her affidavit she asserted as follows:
(Item 4) “That recently some groups of people came to request for our voter’s card with the information that the government wanted to allocate fertilizers to us and our voter’s card will be the only criteria for the distribution.”
(Item 5) “That ignorantly, we gave them our voter’s card not knowing it was a deceit.”
(Item 6) “That we got to know that it was meant for the recall of the distinguished Senator Dino Melaye and we then realized that we have been fraudulently deceived to give out our voter’s card.”
The drama between Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, and Senator Dino Melaye is getting more interesting by the day.
Who will laugh last?
Will Yahaya Bello succeed in recalling Dino?
Or Will Dino Melaye make good his promise that some people will go to jail and Yahaya Bello must be impeached?
