BEING THE ADDRESS OF REVEREND EMMANUEL OLORUNMAGBA ON THE OCCASION OF THE DECLARATION OF HIS INTEREST TO BECOME THE YOUNGEST CIVILIAN PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA BY 2019 DURING A LIVE BROADCAST ON ARISE NEWS247 ON SUNDAY 13^TH AUGUST 2017 AT EXACTLY 6PM

Distinguished fathers, mothers, friends and ministers; permit me to stand on the existing protocol.

I want to briefly present my address on what we are observing in Nigeria and to also make my stance known.

In the year 1966 a group of people led a coup: we have Theophilus Danjuma; 28 years old, Gowon; 32 years old, Buhari (this same Buhari); 24 years old, Obasanjo; 29 years old and Babangida; 25 years old amongst others who took advantage of the coup.

Since that 1966 till date all of them have being either ruling directly or by proxy or determine who rules this country (Nigeria) and they always tell us that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow because they know that tomorrow will never come.

And the youths also agree that they are the leaders of tomorrow, so they allow themselves to be hypnotized. Hypnotism in the sense that they keep using the same youths to “perpetrate” themselves in power (cleave to power).

Who are the people that snatch ballot boxes? The youths. Who are the people on campaign grounds? The youths. Who are the people they use to rig elections? The youths. Who are the people that do vote more? The youths. How about the people that do everything on campaign ground? Still the same youths that they claim are the leaders of tomorrow.

And the same people 32, 24, 29 and 25 years old then; are still ruling us until they attained retirement age and even above retirement age. And they are still the same people who determine who rules this country. As a result of that Nigeria is in total mess. Even if they want to do well they don’t have what is takes again in this jet age because they are all above retirement age and age of retirement is the peak of active age. Thus, the age at which the law of diminishing returns sets in and their level of intellect begins to diminish.

Then when will the youths take over? I stand today to declare that the youths are no more leaders of tomorrow, but we are now leaders of today and we are set to take over!

While I was preparing for this broadcast and for this ambition I was interrupted by a positive testimony from Kenya: A 23 years old 300 level student, a bike rider took a giant step and decided to run for a position in the Parliament of Kenya and he was elected.

Today we have the youngest Parliamentarian as a 23 years old young man who is still an under graduate, not even 400 level but 300 level student who is an ordinary bike rider. But in Nigeria we always wait until we are able to make billions before we attempt. And the fathers will not allow us to make the billions. Because they will sit up there and guzzle the billions only to drop crumbs of N1,000 or maximum of N5,000 for each youth and use them as thugs to get themselves there.

I am standing today to say; I, Reverend Emmanuel Olorunmagba, will be taking the first giant step to break the protocol. Am taking the first giant step to stand as an iconoclast that will say we are deviating from norms. Thus I wish to declare that come 2019; from the campaign that will kick off in 2018, I am running for the exalted office in Nigeria: the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And I am no kidding about it.

I want to say that by the special grace of God, those who think it’s not possible will be together with me on 29^th May, 2019 in Aso Rock as we celebrate the swearing in of the youngest democratically elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; who is a Kabba born boy, an Okun born man from the north central part of Nigeria.

And I want to start concluding by saying that my party, PDP, has decided to zone the presidency to the north. Whenever anything is zoned to the north those who call themselves “core north” always take it. When they need power they know that those of us from north central are also northerners. But when it is time to allocate offices, we are no more northerners; they will group us as middle-belters.

I want to stand up to challenge the status quo: to say if the office of the president has been zoned to the north; then I, Emmanuel Olorunmagba, from the north central will go for that office.

It will surprise those who don’t believe. By the special grace of God, am going to contest for the presidential primary under the platform of PDP, provided that the presidential form is not above thirty million naira (N30,000,000). And am going to mobilize the youths that will be part of the delegates so as to ensure I win the primary and by the backing of God, the youths and your backing I will also win as the youngest democratically elected president of this country (Nigeria).

Conclusively, I want thank you all for listening to me (and you taking your time to read this speech). I have said that this address and the live broadcast will be as brief as possible because I know that it will cost you data to watch it live. We will be holding a meeting tomorrow Monday, 14^th August, 2017 to start setting the campaign train on track. Though it’s not yet campaign time but we are planning ahead because he that fails to plan, plans to fail.
