Not fewer than 21 people were reportedly killed in the early hours of today, Sunday January 30, 2022 by terrorists, during an attack on Kurmin Masara in Zangon-Kataf LGA, Kaduna State. The attack left over 43 houses and properties burnt.
Our correspondents also reports that, the terrorists ambushed men of the Nigerian Air Force Special Forces as they were approaching the community in response to distress call. There was serious battle, but troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) joined and the troops cleared the ambush and stormed the scene of the attack to halt further destruction of lives and property. Then those that sustained gunshot injuries were taken for treatment.
Confirming the unfortunate attack, Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness at this attack and other series of attacks in the state.
