According to the news reaching Arise News247 Newsroom, the Publisher of the online media, Sahara Reporters, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in his house in Ikeja, Lagos; toady Wednesday, 11th January 2017.
He was reported to have been arrested by a London base Journalist and Checkout International Magazine’s publisher, Lekan Fatodu, for an alleged criminal defamation, blackmail and threat to his life and career.
Immediately after the arrest, Lekan fatodu tweeted, “BREAKING! I just got Sowore Omoyele of Saharareporters arrested for criminal defamation and blackmail and threat to my life and career.”
Fatolu who has been on the lookout for Sowore alerted the police as soon as he got a wind of his arrival and he was immediately arrested.
